MHS Announcements Friday October 23, 2026

*The winner of this week's question is Lyric Hobbick.  Please stop by Ms. Goodman's room to get your prize.  : )  Remember next week we'll have Halloween candy, so stop by and get a piece.

*Attention Sophomores: The UW-Stout career cluster group lists are posted on the counseling office and main office windows. Please check your assigned chaperone and group number.

*Anyone interested in joining boys or girls basketball, gymnastics, boys hockey, dance, boys swim, or wrestling plan to attend the winter sports meeting on Monday, October 26th.  Registration begins at 5pm followed by a mandatory parent/athlete code meeting in the main commons at 5:30.  Individual coaches meeting will start promptly at 6 pm.

*Do you enjoy writing short stories in English class? Do you have a few pages of a story already started somewhere in your Google Drive? Or maybe you have an idea for an amazing book bouncing around in your brain? If so- join MHS Creative Writing Club on Wednesday, October 28 for a kick off to National Novel Writing Month! We'll meet in Room 252 in the English hallway- see Mrs. Tempus for more details.

*Students--This is just a reminder that you should be leaving your study hall locations for academic purposes only.  We want to continue to prioritize the study hall period to complete assignments, retake assessments, and receive academic assistance from staff.  Thank you

*Students--We have seen an increase in trays, food, and garbage being left on the tables in the Commons during breakfast and lunch.  Please make sure to properly take care of your breakfast and lunch when you are done.  Staff should not have to clean up after you.  Thank you

Today’s Events:

*Boys and Girls varsity cross country is hosting the WIAA Division 1 sectional meet.  The girls race at noon followed by the boys at 12:45.  All tickets are $7, passes and student ids are no longer accepted.  Tickets can be purchased at the gate with cash or card or on the Bound app.

Good Luck Teams!
