The Buildings & Grounds Department of the Menomonie Area School District currently oversees 8 schools, an administrative building, and environmental classroom. The schools include five elementary schools, middle school, high school, and alternative high school. These facilities contain over 720,000 square feet of space on 655 acres of grounds.
The Buildings & Grounds Department includes 22 custodial staff, three maintenance and two grounds staff. The administrative team includes a director and a secretary. The buildings and grounds staff is committed to providing and maintaining a safe, accessible environment for children to learn. The staff is fully committed to removing obstacles and burdens from classroom teachers who are then able to fully commit to providing a comprehensive, individual education to all children.
The activities completed by support services do so within the realm of providing a complete, productive, effective and safe environment for lifelong learning, allowing for the care of individuals, and modeling effective citizenship for students in the educational community.
