Dear SDMA Families and Staff,
Hopefully everyone enjoyed last week's spring break. With much work left to be accomplished this spring, it will be a very busy 10.5 weeks to finish up the 2022-2023 school year. Students should make it a high priority to attend school as much as possible for the rest of the school year.
There have been many recent student and staff accomplishments to celebrate in the School District of the Menomonie Area. Please check out the March Highlight on Youth Report for a few recent examples.
As work continues in preparation for the 2023-2024 school year, the district is pleased to announce the hire of two new principals who will begin their positions on July 1. Mrs. Diane Schofield has been hired as the new principal at Wakanda Elementary School, and Ms. Stacy Lee will be the new principal at Downsville Elementary. Mrs. Schofield and Ms. Lee were both selected from a good pool of very talented candidates, and we look forward to providing opportunities for families and staff to meet our new principals later this spring.
Hopefully we are past the need for any additional snow days, but this is a final reminder of the Remote Learning Pilot Survey that will close at noon on March 31. If you would like to provide any feedback that to help inform the district's protocols for future remote learning days, please complete the survey.
Have a great week!
