SDMA Update- April 13, 2022
Posted on 04/19/2022

Dear SDMA Families and Staff,

Greetings from the School District of the Menomonie Area. Despite a challenging start to the school year, it is a pleasure to report that all SDMA schools have been operating much closer to "normal" during the past several weeks. There are only seven more weeks left in the 2021-2022 school year, so hopefully we can finish the school year on a high note.

Please be reminded that due to the holiday weekend, there will be no school for students this Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18. Also, the school board recently approved an update to the district calendar which changes the last student day for the 2021-2022 school year to Thursday, June 2.

The SDMA cares deeply about our students, and we are always looking for ways to improve their educational experience and form a stronger partnership with families. To help us accomplish this goal we are conducting a family survey to help us understand what we are doing well and where we need to improve.

We have hired School Perceptions, LLC, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the family survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential. We are asking that all parents respond to the survey that will be sent out on April 25. The survey will be open from April 25 through May 6 at 5:00 PM. If you do not receive an email invitation on April 25 to complete the survey please check your “spam/junk” folder and then contact the district for assistance.

We value your comments and suggestions, and strongly encourage you to participate in this important survey. Together, we will continue to shape the future of our schools.

Sincerely,

Joe Zydowsky
