Menomonie Middle School Announcements 

Self-Care Club:  We will be meeting tomorrow during WIN in room 740.

Dunn County Photography Club:  Dunn County 4-H would like to invite all youth to join the Dunn County Photography Club!  The club teaches the basics of photography and leads "Photo Walks" around the county where youth can try out their skills.  It meets once a month either at the Dunn County Government Center (3001 US Hwy 12, Menomonie, WI) or at various "Photo Walk" locations around the county.

Follow the web address to fill out the form If you are interested in joining us at our next meeting on March 18th.  It will be held at 6pm in room 60 of the Dunn County Government Center.

Dodgeball Tournament:  Student Council is hosting a Dodgeball Tournament on Tuesday, March 19th from 3:10pm - 5:00pm in the gym.  Teams of 6.  Teams can be mixed gender and grades.  $2 per person plus $1 for extra lives (max of 3 lives).  Lives can help when you get out or for points.  You can find forms in the cafeteria the week of March 4th.  Registration is due to Mr. Haas or Ms. Yonash with payment by Friday, March 8th.

Yummy Hearts:  Student Council still has Yummy Hearts suckers for sale at the school store.  They will be there until we sell out!

Spamalot the Musical:  Don't let a flesh wound keep you from auditioning for Spamalot!  It's not too late to register for auditions.  Go to the MMS Drama site to fill out the audition form.  See you in the choir room today or tomorrow!

Spring Pictures:  Spring pictures will be tomorrow.  We will begin right after announcements and the photographer will leave as soon as we are done so don't be late to school!  Order forms are available in the front office or can be placed online at lifetouch.com using online code:  EVTCTT8BJ

February is Black History Month:  Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation.  Black History Month celebrate the rich cultural heritage, triumphs and adversities that are in indelible part of our country's history.  Throughout the month of February, MMS will recognize just a few African Americans who have influenced this country.

Boyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter and businesswoman. Dubbed as "Queen Bey" and a prominent cultural figure of the 21st century, she has been recognized for her artistry and performances, with Rolling Stone naming her one of the greatest vocalists of all time.
