Menomonie Middle School Announcements –

No Boys and Girls Club this Thursday, April 20^th!

Track:  There is NO track practice tonight!

Dance Team:  Are you an 8^th grader and interested in trying out for the dance team?  If you want to learn more about the team and when tryouts are, come to the tryout information meeting on Wednesday, April 19^th at 7:00pm in the tiered lecture hall at the high school.  If you cannot attend but would like more information, please email Coach Liz at [email protected].

Core Leaders:  Please meet in the cafeteria right after announcements.  Please bring your chromebook to the cafeteria as well.

SAGA:  We will meet today after school in Mr. Dolan’s room from 3-4.  Come and join us!  All are welcome!

Menomonie Public Library Author Visit:  Join us for an author visit on April 25th at 4pm- at the Menomonie Public Library.

V.T. Bidania was born in Laos and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is the author of the ASTRID AND APOLLO series, the first children’s book series to star Hmong American characters, and A YEAR WITHOUT A HOME, a fictionalized memoir in verse about her family’s escape from Laos at the end of the Vietnam War.

A limited number of her books will be available for purchase at the event.

Practices this Week!  Boys and Girls Cheerleading Tryouts 2023-24:  Any current 8^th graders interested in Cheerleading next school year, check this out.  Practices will be Mon. April 17 – Thurs. April 20 from 4:00 – 6:00pm in the Cardio Room at the HS Fieldhouse.  Tryouts will be on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00pm in the cardio room at the HS Fieldhouse.  Please bring:  water bottle, tennis shoes, gym shorts & t-shirt.  Any questions, please email Megan at [email protected].
