Menomonie Middle School Announcements –

Track and Field:  We will start this Thursday right after school, not Wednesday.

SAGA:  We will meet this Thursday after school in Mr. Dolan’s room.  Come and join us!

Girls Soccer:  We will meet Wednesday after school in the 8th grade pod in Ms. Waddell’s room for a short informational meeting.

Science Olympiad:  State was fantastic! We are so proud of the exceptionally high level of competition that our students brought to the table! Our varsity team placed 2nd overall in the state, out of 48 teams. We were fairly close to 1st place, and well ahead of 3rd.

Autism Awareness Week:  This week is Autism Awareness Week.  Each day we will have a dress up contest.  The Cares with the highest number students who dress up will win Donut Sam’s donuts at the end of the week.

We will have a table at each lunch with small items for sale at each lunch with small items for sale with the profit going to a new addition to our sensory room. 

Finally, we are having a Penny War between all of the Pods.  The pod with the highest score by the end of the week wins ice cream treats!

Wisconsin Forward Testing:  Wisconsin State Testing will be held through April 6th at the Middle School. Take note of the following:

  • Make sure your child brings their fully charged chromebook and charger to school.
  • Make sure your child is in school and on time for the test dates.
  • Make sure your child is well rested and eats a healthy breakfast.
  • Make sure your child brings a set of earbuds.
  • Please try to arrange appointments around these dates and avoid picking up during the school day as much as possible.
  • If you do need to pick up your student early, please send a note with your student to give to the front office in the morning as we will not be able to call into testing rooms.

 

Boys and Girls Cheerleading Tryouts 2023-24:  Any current 8th graders interested in Cheerleading next school year, check this out.  Practices will be Mon. April 17 – Thurs. April 20 from 4:00 – 6:00pm in the Cardio Room at the HS Fieldhouse.  Tryouts will be on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00pm in the cardio room at the HS Fieldhouse.  Please bring:  water bottle, tennis shoes, gym shorts & t-shirt.  Any questions, please email Megan at [email protected].
