Drop Off Procedure:  Reminder to Parents:  Thank you for your continued use of caution when dropping off your students.  As winter weather approaches, we’d like to remind you to use extra caution and slow down when dropping off your student.  For the safety of our students and staff, we ask that students are dropped off in the right lane next to the sidewalk.  You can use the entire length of the curb to drop off.  Please do not drop students off in the staff parking lot.  This is a safety hazard to have students running across traffic.  This has become even more dangerous as the people in the right lane have to look over their left shoulder anticipating traffic accelerating from behind. Their eyes should be focused ahead on the pedestrians crossing from the staff parking lot.  This becomes even more dangerous as the mornings grow darker and roads turn snow covered and slippery.  We also have more students being dropped off in the winter versus walking and riding bikes.  Thankfully, the large majority of you exercise caution, patience, and proper protocol each day during drop off.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Fall Play:  Congratulations again to all the cast and crew of the Fall Play, 15 Reasons to Not Be in a Play.  We will have a cast & crew party on Thursday, December 8th after school until 4:00pm in the choir room.  Please bring a treat to share, and send any pictures you’d like in the slideshow to Mrs. Enyeart by Monday, Dec. 5th.

Science Olympiad:  We will meet in Ms. Scott’s room in the 8th grade pod today after school.

PE Class:  Students in Mr. Bielmeier’s PE class need to bring their chromebook to class today.

MathCounts:  Our next MathCounts practice is this Wednesday, November 30th.  Please fill out the student form and have your parents fill out the parent form if you have not already done so.  We will discuss details of our first competition, so plan to attend or let your coaches know if you can’t be there.

Multi-Cultural Club:  Butter Braid orders will arrive to Mrs. Bade’s room: 418 on Thursday, December 1st.  Multi-Cultural Club members need to pick up the frozen Butter Braids after school on Thursday.  Bring a cooler to keep them frozen.  You will need a ride home that day.

Student Council:  Student Council is hosting a winter clothing drive from November 28 – December 9.  We are accepting new, gently used, or un-worn coats, gloves, hats, boots, and snow pants.  All items will be donated to the C-3 Center.  Donation bins are located on a table outside of the main office.

Forensics:  Do you love the stage?  Do you love the spotlight? Are you awaiting your Oscar nomination with your acceptance speech prepared?  Come show us your stuff at the kickoff meeting Friday from 3:10 – 3:30 in the Choir room.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Enyeart or Mr. Haas.
