SDMA Back to School Info
Posted on 08/13/2015

Dear SDMA Families, Staff, and other School District Stakeholders,

School in the Menomonie Area starts in 18 days!  We are looking forward to seeing our staff and students back for the 2015-2016 school year.

For your convenience here are several items (with links) to consider in preparation for the new school year:
  • Here is a welcome back webcast for the upcoming school year.
  • Here is the school district calendar for the 2015-2016 school year.
  • Here is some important back to school information.
  • Many important forms traditionally completed on Orientation Day can now be completed prior to the first day of school. Taking care of this now will save you time!  You can access the Skyward login screen here, or navigate the school website by clicking on the "Parents" button, and selecting the "Skyward Family Access" icon.  Once logged in, please complete the "Annual Update of Student Information". If you need assistance completing the online forms, please contact Sue Molitor at 715-232-1642, ext. 11142 or visit your school’s library media center on Orientation Day.
  • We have several employment opportunities available for anyone who might be interested in working in our schools on a regular or substitute basis (certified staff or support staff). Our district utilizes the online WECAN program for managing hiring forms and applications, but we would be happy to help you navigate the application process by contacting Jamie Krista at the Administrative Service Center on Pine Avenue- (715) 232-1642
  • There will be open house and dedication events held on the afternoon/evening of September 8 to celebrate the building renovations in our school district. More information will follow, but THANK YOU for providing these wonderful facilities for our students and staff.
  • Even though the recent building renovations have made our school buildings much more secure, the SDMA, along with many other organizations, will be transitioning to new safety protocol used in preparation for a potential school violence crisis situation. More information for how we will keep our students and staff safer during a crisis is available here.
This is a lot of information to go through at once, so please keep this message available for future reference.

Thank you for your continued support of the school district in our mission to prepare ALL students to become lifelong learners, caring individuals, and responsible citizens.

Sincerely,
  Joe Zydowsky
