Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Community Members:
Last week you should have received a
message from me welcoming our students, families, staff, and community
back to school for the 2014-2015 school year.
This week, we are happy to report
that our school district "Met Expectations" on the Wisconsin school
accountability reports cards from the state assessments that were
administered in 2013-2014. The results of the Wisconsin school
accountability report cards are being released today across the state.
State Superintendent Tony Evers recently released a brief video clip discussing the report cards, and SDMA Director of Instruction Brian Seguin has prepared a video clip that discusses the attached state report card results specific to our school district.
We continue to have much to be proud
of in Menomonie! The results of our state report cards, coupled with
the wonderful opportunities that our students have in career and
technical education, athletics, co-curricular activities, and the fine
arts, demonstrate the continued commitment that our community has toward
educating the "whole child" and ensuring that ALL of our children
become lifelong learners, caring individuals, and responsible citizens.
Thank you for your continued
involvement and support of our school district. If you have any
questions, suggestions, or concerns related to the Wisconsin school
accountability report cards or anything else in our school district,
please contact us.
Best regards,
Joe Zydowsky
District Administrator
School District of the Menomonie Area
